Working together
to provide the best services to people with disability.
Why choose to access disability supports from an IDA member?
Illawarra Disability Alliance (IDA) members are local, NDIS Registered, not-for-profit organisations.
We have a proud shared culture of supporting success and inclusion for people with disability in our local community.
What is the IDA?
The Illawarra Disability Alliance (IDA) is a group of NDIS Registered, not-for-profit disability service providers working together collegially and collaboratively to deliver great outcomes for people with disability in our local community.
Membership is available to NDIS registered not-for-profit disability service provider organisations following an application process. Go to the “Become an IDA Member” page to find out more.
The IDA Objectives
To promote the benefits of not for profit organisations as providers of quality person centred disability services in the region.
To facilitate and encourage mutual sharing of information and allocation of resources to best serve a person with disability seeking services.
To create a collegially competitive environment between local not for profit providers with the aim to strengthen the prominence of the not for profit sector in the region through service excellence and quality outcomes.
Where appropriate, advocate as a unified and collective voice on disability services, access and rights of people with disability.
To act as a focal point to offer comment and assistance to policy makers, Government officers, media and the community in aspects relating to disability support and services in the region.
